Hippocrates said, “Let medicine be your food and food be your medicine.”
We often trust that the pet food we purchase at the store is safe and healthy for our pets. But just like people, different pets have different nutritional needs. We strongly encourage our clients to look into ingredients in your pets diet.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, humans and animals have 5 personality types; water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Finding and adding whole foods that fit your pets personality type and medical needs can really make a difference in their daily lives. and help increase their longevity in life!
Request an AppointmentWe strongly recommend Home-Cooking or feeding Raw, depending on your pet’s individual needs. Not every pet should eat the same diet, and while feeding raw may work very well for one pet, it may not be the best fit for every animal. During your pet’s initial exam and consultation with the veterinary team, we are happy to discuss nutrition and make diet recommendations tailored to your pet’s unique needs.
We are happy to recommend healthy foods, trusted brands, pre-designed or commercially balanced meals, and additions that may benefit your pet’s diet. We also include a list of some pet safe foods in our new client folder to help you get started if Home-Cooking or Raw feeding sounds like a good fit for you and your pet.
Please note that while we can recommend ingredients and foods to include, we do not formulate or balance home-cooked diets for individual pets. This means we will not provide exact recipes, proportions, or calculations for how much of each ingredient to feed.
If Home-Cooking or Raw feeding is not something you are interested in, we are also happy to recommend safe, healthy commercial diet options for your pet.
